Power Plants fascinated me when I was in my final year of Engineering :  thanks  to our professor who taught us the subject !

So it was only natural for me to apply for the prestigious public sector industry NTPC and yes my joy new no bounds having  cleared the exam and interview that was held later on in the corporate office in New Delhi!

Thus I kick started my career as a Control and Instrumentation Trainee engineer in the remote  thermal powerplant at Singrauli ,all excited. Among the 9 ladies in our batch, there were two of us for C & I and that was a relief !

Our thoughts and likes in life be it arts, books, music   overlapped and there was so much in common  and so it was only natural that myself and Sarbani ended  up becoming fast friends! Together we braved the environment at work which had its own challenges twenty years back. After a year, my final posting was at the gas power plant at Gandhar, Jhanor which was a commissioning site at that point of time.

Looking back at my association with the energy sector, There are two things that I cherish:  The work experience gained in the various power  plants  moulded and shaped me for the future , and I emerged stronger and more worldy wise .  The two year journey   was  deeply enriching  and  proved an advantage  for me in my profession later on  and I still carry the same passion  for the energy sector as always.  Second of course  is the bond that I share with my  friend philosopher guide –  a blessing for life!
