GE announced a record breaking efficiency for its new 9HA.02 series Gas Turbine, this week at POWER-GEN International in Las Vegas, US. The new model also offers a very high flexibility in operation, featuring a fast ramp up suited to the requirement of present grid scenario.
Characterized by an easy installation and easy maintenance, 4-stage turbine has a superior technology of 3D aerodynamic hot gas path, cooling and sealing improvements, single-crystal and directionally solidified blades, and double-wall casing for improved clearance control, 14-stage advanced compressor with 3D aerodynamic airfoils with superfinish, 3 stages of variable stator vanes, and field-replaceable blades.
The turbine is also fuel flexible to accommodate both Gas and liquid fuel, of wide gas variability including shale gas and LNG. Customers can choose this high efficiency air cooled turbine for capacities to suit their combined cycle need.
